Food Test experiment

Experiment: To test for the presence of starch in bread

Method:

  1. Using a dropper place iodine on a slice of bread

  2. Using a dropper place water onto a slice of bread

  3. Observe to see if any change in occurs in either slice

 

Results:

 

  1. The slice of Bread with iodine should turn blue-black which proves starch exists in bread

  2. The slice of bread with water should remain the same colour. This part of the experiment was used as a control
